Invitation to Participate in ‘One Valley, One Voice’:

I am excited to extend an invitation to you and your high school choir to join a collaborative initiative known as “One Valley, One Voice.” This event aims to unite the choirs of Tuscarawas County high schools in a unique, ground-up collaboration.

The vision behind this event is to create an uplifting and inclusive concert experience that involves high school choirs that might not typically engage in such gatherings. We’re planning a one-day event hosted at Kent State University Tuscarawas Performing Arts Hall, tailored specifically with your high school choir in mind.

We’re seeking participation from high school choirs to join us in this endeavor. All participating schools will come together to perform selected songs in unison, accompanied by video highlights showcasing each school’s choir between song choices.

The schedule for the day will involve your arrival at KSU-PAC by 10:00 am for registration and division into SATB groups for a morning rehearsal focused on the chosen songs. Lunch will be provided at noon, followed by structured free time within the KSU-PAC facility. Additional SATB rehearsals, led by section leaders, will follow. Mid-afternoon will see a unified rehearsal for ‘One Valley, One Voice.’ Supper will be provided before the final performance for the Tuscarawas County community that evening. Parents will be responsible for transporting their students back home after the event.

Our aim is to unite the choirs to experience the collective power of music as a unified voice.

If your choir has specific song selections in which they excel, please respond to this email with those choices for consideration. Additionally, please provide three possible dates for participation from February 18th to 27th, 2025 (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) for this celebration of musical talent in the Valley.

I sincerely hope you’ll consider participating in the ‘One Valley, One Voice’ 2025 performance.
